Wall street journal states that researchers’ cups runneth over with studies linking coffee drinking and health. But in the quest for benefits, there are tradeoffs. A sampling:
6 cups per day-Lowered risk of advanced cancer
5 cups per day-Lowered risk of Alzheimer’s disease by 65%.
4 cups per day-Cut the risk of stroke by 43%in women. Also cut the risk of Type 2 diabetes by 25%.
3 cups per day-Cut the risk of gallstones 20%.But more than 2 cups doubled the risk of miscarriage.
2 cups per day-Lowered the risk of committing suicide by 60%. But the same amount of caffeine can also cause anxiety, jitters and upset stomach.
1 cup per day-Lowered the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes by 7%. Even 1 cup a day habit can be enough to cause withdrawal symptons, including headache, fatigue and difficulty concentrating.
