It’s refreshing to be able to take a moment and enjoy the beauty of the seasons. Fall is such an eventful season for our family. We have – in just 78 days – 327 sports practices and 110 different games. To be able to take even the two seconds to snap this shot of the sunset was a feat in itself.
But it reminded me of something.
Take a deep breath. Enjoy the view (no, not the TV show), but the actual view from where you sit day in and day out, from behind-the-wheel in the crazy traffic you put yourself through, from behind your computer you’re at right now, from the backyard at home where you may be worrying about the economy, your health, your job, your children…Take in the moment. Look for the sunset that serves as a backdrop that we so often take for granted.
Take a moment to enjoy life – in the little things in between the schedules, meal planning, wiping of noses, tying shoes, washing stained jerseys and making lunches. You will be grateful you did.
And if you forget how – take a look at your kids. They know how to take life at full speed, enjoying every second and soaking in the seasonal sun while they’re at it. Be blessed!
