Kids with Drive

There’s no secret potion to having a kid that is driven to succeed, driven to do more than what’s expected of them. But, for our kids, we see a level of confidence built through participating in sports and from that they’ve created an annual event to share that with others.

Each summer our oldest boys host the Sansone Sports Camp where they promote and invite 50-plus kids to our back yard for a morning of sports skill-enhancing drills and some scrimage game time. They’ve invited pros like the Blue’s Cam Jansen and also college stars and Division I athletes from volleyball, football and soccer to inspire younger kids to get up, get moving, get better and – get the drive to succeed!

It’s not just about excelling in the sport, but in life. Sharing the drive to succeed is an important quality that the Sansone Sports Camp has and continues to share with those who attend. The week-long camp is one completely run by the kids, I do nothing, but stand by and watch in awe as they line them up, run drills, scrimmage, share inspirational stories and…yes, they do tend to come to me for snack and water assistance. But, it’s an impressive group of leaders and participants that fill our yard each year.

Congrats on another great year of camp!
